Product Description
Wetlands are an important component of any healthy ecosystem. Managing them is a full-time job, and it involves the task of biomonitoring. This is the act of monitoring the ecosystem by analyzing several key species of flora and fauna to assess which pollutants are present, the degree of permeation, and what effects they are having on that ecosystem.

As an aquatic biologist by trade, I found this book a very practical resource in helping me set up wetland biomonitoring programs in Alberta. I recommend it highly to anyone that has interest in managing and monitoring freshwater wetlands.
