Excellent source of philosophical history of psychology

This text provides an excellent source of the philosophical bases of psychology. In presenting psychology's history, Benjamin pulls together diverse schools of thought converging upon what we know today as psychology. If dates and names are of interest, this is not the book for you. Instead, Benjamin provides a Gestalt look at from who and where psychology really came.
