i first heard of GT when a friend and i went to see a show of theirs in Nashville. we just went on a whim, and we happened to catch GT. we have been devoted fans ever since. this album is great as far as displaying the band's talent, and is also a very exciting album. their previous album is "live at the chameleon club." if you like "GT 1" then you must check out "live." this album accomplishes the difficult task of capturing the excitement and energy of a GT show. great band - great music - BUY THE ALBUM!!

Imagine Kool & the Gang getting together with James Brown, and Chicago, and that's what you have with Gran Torino. I go see these guys every time they come to town, and they never fail to amaze me. The horn section and overall talent of these guys are unbelievable. If they ever come to your town, go see them. And definitely BUY THE ALBUM.

This cd is really great, definitely worth the listen. Great chill music and definitely worth the money. Plus these guys are really nice so you should support them. Their concerts are twice as good as the album so check em out if they come to your town.

I went to high school with 2 of these guys, and saw them in concert in Memphis. Their stuff is great - high energy, but not manic.

I was lucky enough to see these guys in concert in Boone, NC, and they are great. This album is wonderful, and I hope they get discovered by a major label soon. They deserve it. Best song is "Soul Kitchen"
